Coon Dog and Pee Pad Philosophy

Here Rascal surveys the scene of the Coon fight this past Weds morning, and once again thanks his lucky stars that the Mrs (Gram) saved his bohiney from that bodacious bandit. .........In this picture you are able to see where Gram scattered scrap metal and the canoe in order to save Rascal from being mauled by Ole Mr Coon.
Yesterday, Saturday morning, Rascal found another raccoon in the same area. This coon was a young one that looked as if it had been hit by a car out on the highway during the night. Of course Rascal felt like he didn't need any help, but the big guy (Pa) stepped in and helped bring about a swift end to the the raccoon's suffering.
Rascal doesn't understand that he's just not big enuff (rhymes w/ruff) to be fighting raccoons on a regular basis.

Hey! ...There's a SNAKE over here!....shouldn't somebody be watching me?
Am I too close?....Whoooooaaaa It just stuck it's tongue out at me!
hhheeeeelllllLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I had myself an encounter with one of the many varmints that seem to call this yard home. One of those spreading adders (hog nose ) snakes was up on the back porch. Rascal has had some up close encounters with these guys, but he usually goes looking for them. I was just heading outside to find a nice quite place to pee and this guy scares the bejeebers outta me. .....Pa and Gram carefully placed it in a bucket and relocated it several hundred yards behind the house. I wanted it boxed up and mailed to someplace like Cuba....but Pa said it was a "good" snake............whatever that is.

Just another good argument for my pee pad philosophy
What am I doing out here anyway?
There are perfectly good pee pads in the house just waiting for a little dog like me
